QS is proud to announce the addition of four new study abroad scholarships to its range of funding opportunities exclusively available to attendees of the QS World Grad School Tour. Working in partnership with universities around the world, QS now offers study abroad scholarships with a total value of US$1.7 million to support postgraduate studies worldwide.
New additions to the QS Scholarships scheme include funding for master’s programs at Nottingham Business School, Pepperdine University School of Public Policy, Manchester Business School and Warwick University. The scheme also includes scholarships to study at IE University, EMLYON Business School, TUM Asia and Duisenberg School of Finance. Through the QS Education Trust, QS also offers the QS Leadership Scholarship and QS Scholarship for Academic Excellence, both available to support postgraduate studies at any university, in any location.
The application deadlines for all of this year’s QS Scholarships are coming up on 30 April and 1 May 2014 – so if you’re looking for study abroad scholarships, now is the time to see if any of the ones below could apply to you.
Nottingham Business School Development Scholarships
Value: UK£8,000 (international students) or £5,400 (EU students)
Number of scholarships: Two
Location: Nottingham Business School, UK
Who should apply? The Nottingham Business School Development Scholarships are available for students applying to study an MSc program at this UK business school. Applicants must hold at least a 2:1 undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and should submit an essay explaining how the opportunity would align with their own academic and professional goals.
Pepperdine University School of Public Policy Scholarships
Value: US$20,000 per year
Number of scholarships: Two
Location: Pepperdine University, US
Who should apply? These scholarships are for those applying to study a master’s program at Pepperdine University’s School of Public Policy. Applicants are assessed on a range of criteria, including GPAs, standardized test scores, English language proficiency and relevant experience, with a particular emphasis on evidence of leadership skills.
Manchester Business School Masters Scholarships
Value: 50% of tuition fees
Number of scholarships: Two
Location: Manchester Business School, UK
Who should apply? Manchester Business School is offering two scholarships for those enrolling in its master’s programs. Applicants are expected to have a strong final grade at undergraduate level, and are asked to submit a short essay explaining how a master’s degree at Manchester Business School would make a difference to their professional and personal aspirations.
Warwick Scholarship for Engineers into Management
Value: 60% of tuition fees (UK£12,168)
Number of scholarships: One
Location: Warwick University, UK
Who should apply? This scholarship is for international students with an engineering, scientific or technical background applying to study an MSc in engineering management at Warwick University’s WMG center. Applicants will be assessed on academic merit, as well as relevant experience and career goals.
EMLYON Entrepreneurial Scholarships
Value: 50% of tuition fees (approx. €15,000)
Number of scholarships: One
Location: EMLYON Business School, France
Who should apply? This scholarship is available for QS World Grad School Tour attendees who are admitted to EMLYON’s European Master in Management program. This two-year program is run by EMLYON in partnership with the UK’s Aston Business School and Germany’s Ludwig Maximilian University, allowing students to spend time studying in multiple locations.
Duisenberg School of Finance Scholarship for Women in Finance
Value: €10,000
Number of scholarships: One
Location: Duisenberg School of Finance, the Netherlands
Who should apply? Aiming to support women aspiring to leadership positions within finance, this scholarship is for female candidates enrolling on a master’s program at Duisenberg School of Finance. Applicants are asked to submit an essay addressing the topic of how increasing the percentage of women in finance would change the current financial landscape.
IE University Scholarship
Value: 50% of tuition fees
Number of scholarships: Five
Location: IE University, Spain
Who should apply? These scholarships are to support students enrolling on graduate-level programs at Spain’s IE University. Applicants must attend a QS World Grad School Tour event, and are assessed as part of the general IE admissions process, as well as being asked to submit a short motivational essay.
TUM Asia Scholarship
Value: 50% of tuition fees (approx. €10,000)
Number of scholarships: Two
Location: TUM Asia, Singapore
Who should apply? TUM Asia is offering two scholarships for students accepted to its Master of Science program. Also known as the German Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), the school is a joint venture between Germany’s Technical University of Munich and Singapore’s National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and the Singapore Institute of Technology.
QS Leadership Scholarship
Value: US$10,000
Number of scholarships: One
Location: Anywhere
Who should apply? Offered by the QS Education Trust, this scholarship is open to all students pursuing postgraduate studies. The recipient must be able to show evidence of leadership potential, and demonstrate his/her commitment to making a positive impact to a community or within a profession. Applicants must attend the QS World Grad School Tour and submit a short application essay.
QS Scholarship for Academic Excellence
Value: US$10,000
Number of scholarships: One
Location: Anywhere
Who should apply? Also funded by the QS Education Trust, this scholarship aims to support students pursuing postgraduate studies who display high levels of academic achievement and potential, with the ability to make a significant contribution in a social, scientific or economic field. As with all of these study abroad scholarships, applicants must attend the QS World Grad School Tour, and are asked to submit a short essay.
